An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Occupational Therapist to join the East Sutherland Integrated Health and Social Care Team. This post offers the opportunity for a highly motivated and confident Band 6 to join the team. The role offers experience across both ward and community settings, with a strong re-ablement focus.
You will hold a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health Professional Council and have a broad skill mix or the willingness to expand your skill set as is required in a fully integrated Occupational Therapy setting, an interest in Housing Adaptations would be advantageous.
Effective communication, organisational and time management skills are essential as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Based at Migdale Hospital, Bonar Bridge, you will be expected to work across our sister hospital in Golspie and the surrounding remote and rural community.
Regular supervision and support will be provided as will the opportunity to self-develop through the use of an annual appraisal and a personal development plan
You will be responsible for the supervision and day to day workload management of Band 4 assistants and the department is keen to continue to support student placements.
A UK driving licence is essential and a pool car will be available, however, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, if required.
This is a permanent full-time post of 37 hours per week, worked in accordance with service requirements.
