As aDomestic Supervisor you would be responsible for day to day management of SoftFM staff to provide efficient and effective Facilities services to all wardsand departments within CHoICE operated sites and support the delivery ofexcellent patient care, ensuring the service is responsive to the demandsplaced upon it.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for:

Day to day management of Soft FM staff to provide efficient and effective Facilities services to all wards and departments within CHoICE operated sites and support the delivery of excellent patient care, ensuring the service is responsive to the demands placed upon it. To Supervise and prioritise work and direct staff accordingly to ensure optimum use of resources across all CHoICE sites. Working closely with Facilities Management team, clinical site managers as well as on call teams out of hours and week-ends to prioritise operational requirements To undertake a rotary shift pattern covering 7 days per week during the hours of 0600 to 2200 hours To assist the Heads of Department and deputies in managing the duties and performance of the staff within Soft To contribute to the on-going development and delivery of all Soft FM services Supervise all aspects required for the delivery of a high quality Soft FM, ensuring that all service staff are correctly trained to fulfil their role, and that the service is in line with customer needs

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent qualification (which should include Maths and English) NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or substantial experience in a support service role with the equivalent level of knowledge A willingness to study for any qualifications deemed appropriate to the post * ILM Level 2/Advanced apprenticeship Current driving licence

Health and safety awareness

Experience

Customer service experience Previous experience of working in a support services function

Desirable

Supervisory knowledge gained through formal courses or secondment Experience of working in a healthcare setting Previous experience of operating and interrogating an electronic management system

Effective communication skills verbal & written Computer literate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Good organisational and time management skills Ability to prioritise own and others workloads Able to work alone or as part of a team.
