Job summary

Our Smoke Free School Workers deliver awareness assemblies and groupwork sessions to young people, professionals and parents in schools around smoking and vaping.

Main duties of the job

As a Smoking Cessation School Worker, you will deliver assemblies and group work sessions to small and large groups of Young People up to 18 years of age in schools and youth group settings. You will also deliver awareness sessions in person or online to parents and professionals, whilst attending events and holding a stand to raise awareness of the service.

This role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced level DBS and barred lists check. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role.

To be able to do this job successfully, you will have: a confident and engaging presenter able to communicate information to large groups of young people experience of working with Young People and/or a qualification in substance misuse, mental health, psychology, nursing or youth work the ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team, sharing your skills knowledge and experience good organisational skills to be able to manage your time effectively, prioritising your work and being able to cope with the pressure of competing demands effective IT skills, able to use different packages and digital media
