Our Theatre and Anaesthetics Department are looking for a Consultant to join our Anaesthetics Pre-Assessment team at our Broomfield Hospital site on a permanent full time basis.
You will work collaboratively with your fellow Consultants to provide a modern and comprehensive Anaesthetic, Pain and Perioperative Medicine service to our patients.

Main duties of the job
If successful, some of your duties will include:
Covering for colleagues' annual leave and other authorised absences.Undertaking professional supervision and management of junior medical staff. Carrying out teaching, examination and accreditation duties as required and for contributing to undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing medical education activity, both locally and nationally. Participating in medical audit, and the Trust's Clinical Governance processes. There is a monthly departmental directorate meeting that occurs on Audit Days that consultants and speciality doctors are expected to attend. Liaising with medical staff in other specialties and participate in regular clinical meetings and other post-graduate activities of the hospital. Taking part in the Royal College of Anaesthetists continuing medical education programme.
