We are recruiting senior band 6 Anaesthetic Practitioners, to be mainly based at Broomfield Hospital with some allocated shifts at Braintree Community Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, diligent and dynamic individual to join our established team of anaesthetic practitioners. We have 24 theatres across the 2 sites and cover a variety of specialities including Maternity, Burns, Upper GI, Orthopaedics and Trauma. We also have a dedicated practitioner each day that attends Cardiac arrests, trauma calls and airway emergencies across the hospital, as part of the cardiac arrest team.

The successful applicant(s) will be inspiring, and active role model and committed to service improvement. Ongoing development and training will be offered including ILS, PILS and ALS.

We have a large and well established team of both experienced and junior ODP's within the department who have a good working relationship with each other. All new starters are welcomed and supported fully by the team as a whole.

Applicants MUST hold a current UK registration and MIPS or equivalent (or working towards this).

**Some of your main duties will include**:
Accessing, planning, implementing and evaluating holistic, high quality and individualised care which respects patient personal dignity and beliefs

Maintaining a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff

Maintaining and promoting effective communication within the care team and with colleagues, patients’ relatives and visitors

Acting as a mentor to students, including teaching and assessing, within their realm of competence, upholding the philosophy of evidence-based practice
