THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE TO INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Associate Teaching Professor (0.8 FTE) who will act as the Healthcare Innovation Programme Course Director and Manager of the Centre for Engineering Better Care. The role will be based at the Department of Engineering's Central Cambridge site.

The objective of the programme is to provide knowledge and understanding of the healthcare system and the technologies applicable to this sector, giving students the expertise and skills needed to innovate successfully in healthcare. The programme is delivered through a combination of face-to-face sessions in Cambridge, online sessions, and self-directed learning. The MSt programme is complemented by short courses, aiming to leverage the course material and provide a significant income stream to support the Healthcare Innovation activities. The Course Director will have overall responsibility for the managing the Healthcare Innovation Programme, coordinating design and delivery of modules, taking a leading role in the administration and financial planning of the course and providing strategic leadership to the programme.

The Centre for Engineering Better Care (CEBC) aims to provide a collaboration space for translating clinical and healthcare needs into practical, realisable ideas through project work and proof-of-concept tests across a range of clinical fields. The CEBC has a physical presence on the biomedical campus. The Manager provides day-to-day support for the Centre as well as providing strategic development of the Centre's activities.
