Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Our client school in Enfield is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PRU Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.

Role Overview: As a PRU Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing targeted support to students in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities, implementing behaviour management strategies, and working closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Individual Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to students with SEMH needs, ensuring their unique requirements are met.
  • Classroom Assistance: Support teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement and monitor behaviour management plans to create a positive learning environment.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to support student progress.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Inclusive Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive school culture where all students feel supported and valued.

  • An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through us
  • Two professional child-related references
  • An updated CV
