We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head of Service to join our collegiate Senior Leadership Team to lead the transformation of our Front Door Service in Adult Social Care in collaboration with other lead colleagues. This role will be responsible for the leadership and delivery of Safeguarding duties and Access to Adult Social Care services, with a strong emphasis on prevention and compliance to the Care Act, and a commitment to doing things with residents and not to them. 

This team receives all new enquiries into the service, and is at the very front-line responding directly to our resident’s needs, completing prompt proportionate Care Act Assessments, Safeguarding and DOLS. The Team is currently trialling new ways of working and you will provide the necessary leadership and management to support this transformation. 

You will be an experienced manager with comprehensive experience of supporting and communicating with residents, knowledge and experience of implementing the Care Act, including Safeguarding, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act and be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment that is undergoing service changes. You will have experience of leading and managing teams through service redesigns, experience of managing comprehensive recruitment campaigns and budgets. You will be able to prioritize under pressure and work within time scales and deliver against statutory duties as well as responding in tight times frames to risks and Complaints. 

You will have extensive experience of working collaboratively with partners across Adult Social care and health. You will be either social work qualified or Allied Health professionally qualified and have excellent communication skills and an ability to motivate and support teams through change and develop their practice to deliver the very best service to our residents. You will be provided with excellent support guidance and training in the role.

Role Specific Qualifications:

Hold a recognised social work, Nursing or Occupational Therapy Qualification. Registered with the Social Work England or HCPC.
