Job Description

  • Responsible for vehicle diagnostic tester hardware circuit design, debugging, and module testing.
  • Responsible for requirements analysis and proof of concept design.
  • Development of design specification and selection of electronic components.
  • Prepare hardware design documents, including schematics, PCBs, BOMs, DFMEAs, etc.
  • Develop hardware testing plans and review hardware testing reports.
  • Responsible for the hardware development and debugging of tooling and environment required for testing or production inspection.
  • Coordinate with third party suppliers and vendors for the production of sample prototypes and production level designs.
  • Solve production problems and customer hardware complain in market.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • More than 10 years of electronic hardware and related work experience, including full product life cycle development from concept to production.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design, inc. SMPS design, high speed digital design techniques, PCI, DDR3.
  • Experience of Xilinx FPGA development using VHDL & Test Benches.
  • Experience with the application of microcontrollers: e.g., iMX6, Cortex M3/M4 systems.
  • Knowledge of the principles of automotive diagnostic systems, diagnostic communication protocol (e.g., DoIP and CAN) and related automotive diagnostic standard requirements.
  • Proficient in using circuit design and development tools, able to independently use schematic drawing and multi-layer PCB layout tools, including Altium and Cadence.
  • Design for compliance, experience of regulatory product compliance requirements and testing, e.g., CE, FCC, CCC.
  • Design for Manufacture experience, preparation of Gerber files.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, e.g., requirements & design specifications, test & verification specifications.
  • Prepare and execute test and verification plans.
  • Work conscientiously and responsibly, have good learning and communication skills.
  • Be able to work under pressure, alone and as part of a team.
  • Good written and oral English.

Desirable:

  • Experience in sample debugging independently, preparing test cases and testing plans for individual boards.
  • Familiar with the relevant certification of electronic hardware.
  • Knowledge of EPLAN and electrical control panel design.
  • Awareness of mechanical and cable design techniques.
  • Agile work methodologies.

Education:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Automation or other relevant discipline.
