Heritage Portfolio are looking for a enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join their team at the V&A Dundee. We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team.
The Kitchen Porter is a vital role; making service possible and providing support for the whole team. They need to enjoy organising themselves well, communicating positively and take pride in delivering sparkling clean equipment and premises in a fast paced environment.
What is in for you:
Rate of Pay: £;per hour Working hours : hours but more as required Frequent transport links within a short walk Casual contract so flexibility within the roleMain Responsibilities:
Ensure the cleanliness standards of presentation of the back of house and all storage areas are excellent at all times Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment to maximize efficiency & prolong life Accept deliveries and ensure that all stock meets both company and legal standards, as set out by the kitchen management team Assist in accurate record keeping, security and safe storage of all relevant deliveries Assist in the implementation all fire regulations and procedures and assist in evacuations as necessaryThe Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter in a busy kitchen environment Have excellent levels of personal hygiene and presentation standards Consistent and punctual Follow the company and legal responsibilities of a food handlerHeritage Portfolio is the sub-segment of Sodexo Live that produces outstanding catering and event services for our cultural destinations. These include exceptional “in-house” café services in some of Britain’s leading visitor attractions such as V&A Dundee, The Signet Library, The Scottish National Gallery, private parties and dining, weddings and prestigious events including The Royal Garden Party for which we are honoured to have received a Royal Warrant of Appointment as Supplier of Catering Services.
