As a Civil Engineering Apprentice, you are a team player with attention to detail, strong communication skills, an analytical mindset, and you thrive on challenges. Your remit would be to assist with inspections, system audits, tool box talks, and investigations, eventually taking ownership of tasks, trends, and risk assessments. To excel in this role, you'll need to be a team player with an inquisitive eye for details and a willingness to learn and lead by example. The purpose of this role is to develop your skills and knowledge in civil engineering.

What would interest you is the opportunity to work on site safety management, design work, and engineering of works, as well as attending client meetings and updating programmes of work on a laptop. This role is not about sitting in an office, but rather being hands-on and proactive in the field. You will be part of a team delivering projects ranging from £75,000 to £1,000,000 in size.

In this role, you will have the chance to work within a team of experienced engineers, learning from their expertise and eventually leading your site & schemes. Your day-to-day activities will include managing site safety, understanding commercial aspects, and ensuring that people are effectively put to work. You will also be involved in updating work programmes and assisting with temporary works design.

To excel in this role, you'll need to have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong team-working ethic. This role requires an individual who is driven, analytical, and eager to learn. You will provide engineering solutions and support as part of the project team

As our next Civil Engineering Apprentice, you will be instrumental in the success of our projects. Your remit will be to drive the Engineering Design process, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is motivated by challenges and eager to develop their skills in civil engineering.

The Key Requirements...

Grade C or above in at least 5 GCSEs including English and Mathematics and Science (9-4 within the new grading system)  A full UK or EU Driving License You must be able to demonstrate your Right to Work in the UK, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role You must be able to start on the 2nd September 2024 You must live in a commutable distance from the office, WF17 (Birstall) Ability to work on own initiative without direct supervision with a high commitment for delivery and quality

About the Apprenticeship

You will achieve a Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician qualification which will take 36 months.
