Job summary

We are looking ot fill a full-time post at a Local Mental Health Team covering the Broxtowe and Hucknall area of Nottingham. Our core business hours are 09:00-17:00 but some flexibility can be offered.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to come into post and develop their skills in community mental health working with an adult age population.

This post is eligible for a Golden Hello payment of £2,750 for new starters who are external to the Trust. This is payable in 3 instalments over a 2 year period. This payment is only eligible to new starters who do not already hold a contract of employment with the Trust. This post also includes paid enhancements for unsocial hours working during night, weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a proactive, compassionate, caring and recovery focused Occupational Therapy with excellent communication skills to join our existing dynamic multidisciplinary Local Mental Health Team. The post- holder will work alongside our experienced Occupational Therapist's to offer interventions that promote recovery, enabling patients to live their best life.

Job description

Job responsibilities

This post is both rewarding and a vital role towards the delivery of treatment to our patients in the Broxtowe and Hucknall area.

To assess, implement and review a high-quality Occupational Therapy service with the patients in their own homes and local environments. To offer your advice, skills and expertise as part of the wider MDT.

Professional and clinical supervision will be provided.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
