Thenew Clinical Quality Analyst Lead will provide insight into data for allaspects of the Clinical Quality to include Clinical Effectiveness, PatientSafety & Risk, Patient Experience and Quality Assurance. It is a key rolein the Nursing Directorate delivering analytical support and insight toeffectively monitor and continuously improve the safety, quality,effectiveness, and experience of care delivered across the Trusts services.
Workingwithin the Clinical Quality Team, the post holder will also assist with thedevelopment and implementation of effective mechanisms to monitor progressagainst the Nursing and Midwifery Quality Framework, key Trust priorities andstrategies relevant to the Directorate, as well as facilitate the provision of high-quality,timely data and insight to inform our governance arrangements and riskmanagement activities.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide insight into data for all aspects of Clinical Quality to include Clinical Effectiveness, Patient Safety & Risk, Patient Experience and Quality Assurance. It is a key role that will help the Trust and the Nursing Directorate to have a much wider, deeper and all-encompassing understanding of its business that will ultimately improve services, standards and safety for patients and staff alike.
The post holder will play a key role in delivering the provision and strategic development of analytical support and insight across the Nursing and Quality Directorate; in order to effectively monitor and continuously improve the safety, quality, effectiveness, and experience of care delivered across the Trusts services.
Working within the clinical Quality Team, the post holder will also assist with the development and implementation of effective mechanisms to monitor progress against the Nursing and Midwifery Quality Framework, key Trust priorities and strategies relevant to the Directorate, as well as facilitate the provision of high-quality, timely data and insight to inform our governance arrangements and risk management activities. This will include promoting and developing the use of information to effectively monitor and evaluate the embedding of learning and improvement. Whilst supporting the delivery and embedding of a culture of continuous improvement across the Trust and contribute to the delivery of the quality agenda.

Job description
Job responsibilities
Specifically, the post holder will:
Will be a key advisor for the nursing directorate and wider organisation using their experience of complex clinical quality data sets to inform decision making, service delivery and improvement actions across the Trust. Will be responsible for the day to day management of information systems delivering the Nursing and Midwifery Quality Governance Framework and other Clinical Quality dashboards. Ensuring that data is shared timely and effectively across the Trust. Ensure the provision of timely and accurate data from audits and accreditations undertaken as part of the Nursing and Midwifery Quality Governance framework to directorate and divisional leads. This will include taking a key role in analysing and interpreting to provide insight and intelligence which inform activities and decision-making o quality assurance process across frontline areas. Make recommendations for the on-going development and delivery of comprehensive quality assurance and governance mechanisms across the directorate and wider organisation, to provide assurance of compliance and risk management. Whilst leading on organisational improvements when delegated to. Continuously develop and improve the processes in place for data capture, processing, analysis, and presentation of both quantitative and qualitative data. This will include working with performance and informatics teams to facilitate Quality dashboards and other clinical data as required on Trust platforms including QlikSense, Datix and PPM+. Analyse and interpret complex data and produce reports from key systems and audits to inform the decision-making and improvement actions of teams across the Directorate and services, with the aim of supporting quality of care in frontline areas. Develop and design effective systems and processes to streamline and improve the current mechanisms for sharing of information across the Directorate, whilst advise and educating clinical divisions and departments as required. Educate and support as required clinical and non-clinical teams to facilitate better understanding and use of the quality information available to them to identify and monitor improvement activities. Work alongside the team and wider directorate to triangulate quality and assurance data with other sources of information to ensure Ward Accreditation and Assurance visits are conducted and monitored effectively. Support the team and wider directorate to write professional reports/prepare presentations displaying relevant assurance information to support the effective delivery of the Nursing Midwifery Quality Governance Framework and other relevant Trust objectives. Managing, manipulating and interpretating complex data from a range of different sources to provide meaningful information to direct quality improvement activities and effectively monitor progress. Work with the Head of Clinical Quality and Effectiveness and, Quality and Accreditation Practitioner to contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of key trust strategies and quality governance frameworks, in line with Trust objectives and priorities, adjusting to changes legislation and regulations, to ensure correct information is available to support continuous improvement, the delivery of high standards of care and the Trusts vision and values. Produce and present highly complex data delivering understandable information in reports, detailing trends and themes, lessons learnt and resulting in changes in practice for directorate or divisional meetings and for quarterly and annual reports. This may at times include external stakeholders and members of the public. Utilise good judgement to triangulate multiple data sets to assist teams to understand and process complex data to support individual workstreams, including complaints, PALS, FFT, patient safety, clinical effectiveness and other directorate teams and assist with analysing and presenting data in a way that is understood. Receive and analyse highly complex and potentially sensitive information or data in order write professional reports and presentations in order for teams to deliver at trust committees and to share with external stakeholders. Present information and data in a variety of formats, including undertaking presentations to internal and external groups and by the production of high-quality written reports, including Board level. Work closely with clinical services, including wards and departments, to strengthen ward to board assurance. This will include ensuring robust action plans are in place to address key areas of risk identified through the quality governance arrangements; achieving this through the provision of advice and guidance on effective action planning and monitoring improvement, and direct support as deemed appropriate based on risk of non-compliance. Participate in any CQC regulatory inspection, to support development of responses, and tracking the commitments to completion. During times of external stakeholder inspection the job holder will gather, provide and track information required to support requests. To work closely with the Patient Safety Systems Intelligence Manager to develop the effective use of the Trust risk management system (DATIX or any other replacement systems) for complex information from multiple data locations to capture, analyse and report. Working collaboratively with colleagues from across the organisation to implement improvement activities based on evidence and best practice, which may require persuasive, motivational and negotiation skills may be required. Providing operational leadership and management to champion and further develop the effective use of data and insight to identify, monitor and evaluate progress against key quality and safety priorities. Monitor complicated data steams relating to patient engagement, safety and quality of care, and outcomes from feedback surveys/Friends & Family Test and escalate concerns and present information in order to identify potential issues for professional competencies and/or conduct. Work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to the ensure the Directorate and Trust has robust mechanisms in place to monitor and demonstrate assurance of progress against improvement objectives. This will include working with ward and department level colleagues to ensure robust improvement and action plans are developed and maintained. Work autonomously or coordinate a team to extract complex data and arrange information for ad hoc requests both internally and externally to the directorate, extracting information for Freedom of Information requests and helping to maintain and create reports within various data systems for audits, Ward Accreditations, Ward Assurance, quality dashboards and other directorates. Support with audits, ward accreditations, ward assurance, patient safety walkabouts and other directorate audits to identify data quality issues. Ability to translate, merge, cleanse and map complex data into conceptual, logical and physical data models including trends and forecasting. Promote the aims and objectives of the wider Clinical Quality team and represent the Quality team at relevant groups and meetings. Person Specification
