We are currently looking for a talented and motivated HR Assistant to join our team in Leeds . This role can be worked flexibly with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office and the option of adjusted start and finish times.

What does the role involve? 

As a member of the HR Operations team, you'll provide support to business managers, colleagues and the wider HR team to effectively manage people related activity in line with Sweco HR policies, procedures and practices ensuring compliance with UK legislation.

Working with a high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail you'll monitor the HR inbox, responding to queries in a timely manner. You'll also process new starter documentation, maintain the HR system, produce documents regarding contractual changes, support visa applications, administer MOD clearance applications and administer benefits. Assistance with testing system changes, annual pay review and activities related to annual bonus payments as required. 

You'll continuously review and make recommendations for improvements to Best Practice processes and procedures and implement changes as agreed and ensure strict compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (GDPR) at all times. 

To be successful in this role you’ll possess:

A proven track record in generalist administration (experience in an HR environment is advantageous) A high level of attention to detail with the ability to work to varying deadlines.  Good planning and prioritisation skills with the flexibility to adapt to changing situations. The ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-location team, asking for assistance when appropriate. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to adapt your style to suit the audience.  Strong MS skills in Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams and the ability to learn in-house systems as required.

Please note that a key part of this role is to administer the process of MOD clearance applications – in order to do this you have to obtain clearance yourself and this includes providing personal details relating to your finances, family, nationality, etc and undertaking a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check.
