Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Chorley, Lancashire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across various subjects.
  • Student Assistance: Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, helping them achieve their academic goals.
  • Special Educational Needs (SEN): Work closely with students with SEN, adapting materials and strategies to meet their specific needs.
  • Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, supporting students with behavioural challenges.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with preparing lesson materials, marking work, and managing classroom resources.
  • Pastoral Care: Support the emotional and social development of students, fostering a safe and inclusive school environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in Education: Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to connect with students, teachers, and parents effectively.
  • Patience & Empathy: A caring approach to supporting students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff to enhance the learning experience.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to assist in various subjects and take on different tasks as needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
