We're looking for a MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team based in Newton Abbot, South Devon to work on our HMP Channings Wood Prison project.

 

Location:        Newton Abbot, South Devon

Contract:        Permanent, full-time

 


What will you be responsible for?

As a MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on a major Government construction contract that will provide a critical asset to the local area.

Within the role, you'll be working within the Commercial Team, supporting them in building projects that support and develop the local communities.

Your day to day will include:

  • Provide overall day-to-day management of the MEP commercial team and oversee MEP procurement activities.
  • Act as the point of contact for clients as required, contributing to the main contract valuation, and taking responsibility for pricing MEP changes.
  • Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)
  • Assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement Kier Groups policies for risk management.
  • Prepare and present monthly cost reports, value works executed by Sub-Contractors and certify interim and final payments.

This role of MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

  • Proven MEP experience in managing the commercials over the full project lifecycle in education, commercial, leisure, healthcare, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice and mixed-use projects
  • In-depth knowledge of contract administration, risk management, and valuation processes.
  • Experience in the commercial management of high value build projects.
