About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team at Kier Group. As a key member of our Commercial Team, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Management: Provide overall day-to-day management of the MEP commercial team and oversee MEP procurement activities.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the point of contact for clients as required, contributing to the main contract valuation, and taking responsibility for pricing MEP changes.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and measure actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports).
  • Risk Management: Assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement Kier Group's policies for risk management.
  • Reporting and Certification: Prepare and present monthly cost reports, value works executed by Sub-Contractors and certify interim and final payments.
Requirements
  • MEP Experience: Proven MEP experience in managing the commercials over the full project lifecycle in education, commercial, leisure, healthcare, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice, and mixed-use projects.
  • Contract Administration: In-depth knowledge of contract administration, risk management, and valuation processes.
  • Commercial Management: Experience in the commercial management of high-value build projects.
