We are currently recruiting a Commis Chef to join our team at MRC LMB Cambridge, Biomedical Campus, Francis Crick Avenue, Cambridge, CB2 0QH

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting Chefs in basic preparation and cooking of food
  • Making hot drinks (Barista training will be given)
  • Customer service, using the till and cleaning of counters as and when required
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the dishwash and surrounding areas within the site.
  • Potwashing
  • Cleaning and sterilizing counter tops, walls and sinks
  • Assisting with daily and weekly deep cleans
  • Assisting with deliveries and organizing them in the correct storage areas
  • Removing waste from waste containers and disposing of them in the correct external bins

Experience

  • Previous experience in catering is desirable but full training will be given to the candidate
  • Customer focused and a good communicator
  • Excellent team player
  • DBS required
