Perform other tasks as required by the Doctors and Managerswhich are reasonable and in line with the principles of this job description.

Take messages for the management team as and when necessary.

To undertake any additional duties given by thePractice Manager from time to time or as and when the business dictates.

Type up letters from the Management team whennecessary.

Keep log of complaints and their progress.

Create the Employee Newsletter monthly.

Job responsibilities

CLERICALRESPONSIBILITIES

Photocopying and printing of medical notes for SubjectAccess Requests as well as using iGPR for electronic documents.

Assist with logging, updating and processing incomingcomplaints.

Process Insurance, Benefits, DVLA and other incomingforms.

To aid the management team with Health & Safety documentationand to ensure this is disseminated to employees.

To carry out general administrative duties asfiling, photocopying, sending and receiving correspondence from a variety ofexternal organisations.

Assist staff by organising the preparation anddistribution of papers required for meetings when required.

To assist the management team with HR documentation,meetings, training matrix, on-boarding and general HR duties.

To aid the management team with general administrationtasks as and when required by your line manager.

To assist the Finance Manager with generaladministration tasks as and when required.

COMMUNICATION

In a confident, polite, sensitive manner taketelephone calls from patients, GPs and clinical staff and deal with asappropriate.

To maintain absolute confidentiality regarding allmatters relating to the practice, including but not limited to patientinformation.

GENERALDUTIES

Essential

Excellent IT and Microsoft office skills Understanding, acceptance and adherence to strict rules of confidentiality Good organisational skills Good interpersonal and communication skills Excellent keyboard skills and confidence to disseminate knowledge Good verbal, written and numerical communication skills

Desirable

Experience of working in primary care Experience of working in a GP practice Experience working with EMIS.

Qualifications

Essential

GCSE grade A to C in English or Maths NVQ (or similar) level in Administration Experience working in primary care Excellent IT and Microsoft office skills
