The successful Regional Technical Manager will provide expert subsidence and surveying services for domestic and commercial buildings insurance claims while managing their own caseload of complex insurance claims.
What will your day look like:
Liaise with various parties involved in reinstating damaged buildings such as clients, policyholders and local authorities Identify damage causes, assess repair needs, and schedule building repairs by visiting properties Investigate and resolve subsidence and general insurance claims. Instruct temporary/emergency works for safety Address building pathology issues (asbestos, damp) Write professional reports and correspondence Specify and interpret site investigations and geotechnical reports Obtain and assess competitive tenders Administer building contracts and related law Manage building projects, value payments, and agree on variations Control costs and maintain financial awarenessAbilities And Knowledge:
Training will be provided specific to the role but some knowledge and capability is required in the following areas: Extensive experience in at least two of the following areas: Subsidence, Surveying, Property Engineering and Insurance Willingness to travel as the role involves visiting damaged properties Driver’s licence required (company car will be provided) Accuracy, attention to detail and an analytical approach Strong verbal and written communication Demonstrable experience of organizing and managing own workload is essential Excellent time management
