Primary SEN Teacher Mixed KS1& KS2 Shepherds Bush

RoleHighlights

  • Fulltimepermanent teaching role in a nurturingstudentcentered SEN school that prioritizes the unique learningneeds and potential of eachchild
  • Create and delivercustomized lesson plans that are designed to supportthe diverse academic social and emotional needs of mixedage KS1 andKS2 learners ensuring each students individual goals and abilitiesare respected
  • Collaborate withexperienced SEN professionals and support staffincluding teaching assistants and specialists to deliver consistentand comprehensive support that promotes students holisticdevelopment
  • Develop and maintaina positive inclusive classroom atmosphere wherestudents feel valued understood and encouraged to activelyparticipate helping them build essential skills andconfidence
  • Engage in ongoingassessment and monitoring of student progress usinginsights from both formal and informal assessments to adaptteaching strategies as needed for optimal growth andlearning
  • Participate in schoolledSEN training and professional development enhancingyour expertise in SEN teaching and keeping uptodate with bestpractices and innovative approaches in inclusiveeducation

Experience&Qualifications

  • QualifiedTeacher Status (QTS) with experience in primaryteaching ideally across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2; experience ina Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting is advantageous allowingyou to bring an empathetic and understanding approach toindividualized learning
  • Strongcommitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learningenvironment with the flexibility and creativityrequired to adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to supportdiverse learning needs
  • Excellentcommunication and collaboration skills enablingeffective teamwork with SEN staff support professionals andfamilies to create a wellrounded support network for eachstudent
  • Patient compassionateapproach that encourages students to feel securesupported and motivated to reach their potential in both academicand personal development
  • EnhancedDBS check required to ensure the safety andwellbeing of all students
