A vibrant SEN school inFinchley is seeking an enthusiastic Primary SENTeacher to support a diverse group of mixedage KS1and KS2 students in developing both academically and socially. Inthis fulltime permanent role youll help create a positive learningenvironment where students with unique learning needs can buildconfidence enhance their abilities and reach their individualgoals.

RoleHighlights

  • Fulltimepermanent role within a dynamic and inclusive SENschool dedicated to individualized learning and holistic studentdevelopment
  • Develop and implementdifferentiated lesson plans that cater to the unique needs andabilities of each student fostering both academic progress andsocialemotional growth
  • Work closely with a teamof SEN professionals including support staff and therapists totailor learning strategies and provide cohesive support to eachchild
  • Cultivate a nurturing engaging classroomatmosphere where students feel valued encouraged and motivated toactively participate in their learning
  • Benefitfrom continuous professional development opportunities includingspecialized training in SEN practices to enhance your teachingtechniques and knowledge
  • Monitor and assesseach students progress adapting approaches as needed andmaintaining open communication with parents and SEN specialists toensure aligned and effectivesupport

Experience&Qualifications

  • QualifiedTeacher Status (QTS) with experience in primaryteaching; prior exposure to SEN settings is advantageous but notrequired
  • A commitment to inclusive educationwith a proactive approach to student engagement and the flexibilityto adapt lessons to meet diverse learningneeds
  • Patience empathy and strongorganizational skills enabling you to support students across arange of academic and developmental abilities in a constructiveindividualized manner
  • Excellent communicationand teamwork skills for collaborating effectively with supportstaff therapists and families creating a unified approach to eachchilds growth
  • A current and clearEnhanced DBS check is required toensure the safety and wellbeing of allstudents
