To maintain Imperial’s standing as a world leading institution, philanthropic support is essential. With new leadership and the creation of a , ‘Science for humanity’, the university is now in the planning phase of a major comprehensive fundraising campaign. Mobilising our alumni community to engage with Imperial’s ambitions for a better future through education and research, will enable us to reach our goals.


Reporting to the Director of Alumni Engagement, you will lead the strategic development of an engaging and multifaceted communications programme that inspires alumni participation in our programmes and meaningful engagement with Imperial

As the university moves into campaign mode, this will be a pivotal role that helps to set the tone for how we engage with our alumni community throughout the coming decade You will oversee crucial cross-team projects, including managing a survey of our full alumni community, guiding our community magazine (with a distribution list of 140,000) through a strategic review and refresh, and implementing processes and campaigns to embed a new supporter journey experience.


Exceptional relationship-building and communication skillsTrack record of developing and executing creative communication programmes, preferably in the higher education sectorWork collaboratively with various departments, influencing practices and promoting a culture of mutual supportExperience in marketing and communication strategy, alumni engagement, online community management, digital communications, print media, compliance with data protection regulations, and team leadership is essential.
