The Building Services Apprentice role is designed to develop your skills and knowledge of the building services industry, while fulfilling client and company obligations and responsibilities.

 

You will participate in a 4-year Building Services apprenticeship at a Salford city college on day release with block weeks for practical and online assessments/ or on-site tutoring. You will be enrolled on the service & maintenance building service course.

 

The view of the apprenticeship if to become fully qualified in service and maintenance of HVAC systems with commercial gas bias if they wish.

 

When not in college, you will be working alongside Multi Skilled Engineers to gain onsite knowledge and experience on this commercial premises. 


Key Responsibilities:

Establishing and developing a working partnership with Engineers, Admin and Customers.

 

Compliance with all statutory, Employer's and site specific Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

 

Meeting or exceeding all agreed service levels and targets set by Line Manager

 

Ensuring attainment of customer satisfaction.

 

Seeking and developing with the Customer opportunities for innovative cost reductions.

 

On site training with Multi Skilled Engineers with gas, oil, AC, mechanical and electrical trades. All relating to the building services industry.

 

Complete evidence based portfolio of works in accordance with College scope

 

Ensure good timekeeping is kept

 

Liaising with all staff to ensure good communication is kept throughout

 

Understanding the basic principles of HVAC equipment and other general maintenance activities

 

The preparation of quotations and estimates for new works with assistance from qualified Engineer

 

Ensuring all PPM tasks are completed in line with the ppm planner and Maximo

 

Ensuring all paperwork is up to date and filed correct in site logbook

 

Ensuring the CAFM system is up to date

 

Complete online training and tool box talks in according with company policies and good practices
