Job summary

The post offers the opportunity to work alongside our established Critical Care therapy team and other specialised teams to support with rehabilitation onto the medical and surgical wards within the University Hospitals of North Midlands based at the Royal Stoke Hospital.

This is a really exciting opportunity for someone to lead a service within the patient journey and to enhance patient care and experience. Our critical care unit has 36 beds including surgical, medical, neurosurgical and trauma and lends itself naturally to innovative ways of working. Main duties of the job

The Multidisciplinary team is part of the West Midlands Adult Critical Care Network which provides opportunity to network nationally through national events and conferences and be instrumental in leading on new ways of working and implementing new initiatives.

If you are interested in working with a group of patients who present with all the challenges of stepping down from Critical Care to the ward environment; if you are interested in leading the development of a new therapy team clinically and managerially; if you are interested in being at the forefront of transformational change then this post is for you.

Supervision will be provided by Principal Therapists and continuous development is supported through appraisal, internal training and external learning.
