Job summary

We have a vacancy within our Intensive Home Treatment Team within our inpatient and community ChYPMHS crisis pathway. We are keen to appoint a nurse, social worker or occupational therapist who has a passion for working with children who present with mental health difficulties and to be part of their recovery journey. Experience and training in therapeutic interventions is desired for this role, however for the right candidate training could be offered.

Main duties of the job

The role involves seeing young people who present with mental health difficulties; either in crisis, for admission avoidance or to support early discharge from our local inpatient ChYPMHS service. The young people may be seen in their family homes, in school or within the local community, and this may be individual contacts or groups offering therapeutic interventions in line with their formulation and diagnosis.

The team cover the whole of Kent and Medway, alongside our inpatient ChYPMHS unit. The job includes remote working but also being present in one of our sites for collaborative working with other equipment will be provided to support staff in working in an agile and flexible way.

The team operate 7 days a week, covering long days, earlies and lates. There is opportunity to discuss flexible working options with the right candidate.
