We arerecruiting a Director ofSixth form for a great Secondary School in Watford. You will betaking a lead role in the creation of a transformational schoolcommunity by developing and managing a high achieving Sixth formwhich enables the highest level of pupil progress andattainment.

KeyResponsibilities

Lead thedevelopment of all subject teachers and support staff in theEconomics department.
Develop and maintain an outstandingquality of teaching and learning
Ensure rigorousmonitoring and assessment across the English department to enablestudents to achieve challenging targets
Take charge anddevelop the department through the provision of CPD inset trainingdays supervising NQTs ITT students and support staff etc.
Lead behaviour management in the Sixth form and department securingstrong routines for learning consistent with the academys policyand liaising with tutors and parents when necessary
Develop strong partnerships and ensure regular communication withparents andcarers
