Director of Sixth form - Highly Achieving Independent school - ASAP Start  

Wayman Education is recruiting a Director of Sixth form for a great Secondary School in Watford. You will be taking a lead role in the creation of a transformational school community by developing and managing a high achieving Sixth form which enables the highest level of pupil progress and attainment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of all subject teachers and support staff in the Economics  department.
• Develop and maintain an outstanding quality of teaching and learning
• Ensure rigorous monitoring and assessment across the English department to enable students to achieve challenging targets
• Take charge and develop the department through the provision of CPD, inset training days, supervising NQTs, ITT students and support staff, etc.
• Lead behaviour management in the Sixth form and department, securing strong routines for learning, consistent with the academy's policy, and liaising with tutors and parents when necessary
• Develop strong partnerships and ensure regular communication with parents and carers

About the Company

Wayman Education is a specialist Education Recruitment Consultancy that helps Teachers and Support Staff find long term, permanent and interim employment in Primary, Secondary and Special Schools throughout London and the South East. As part of the registration process you will be required to have a DBS Check carried out and all original relevant qualifications will need to be sighted and copied before any work placement. For all teaching roles you will need to hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
