Looking for a detailoriented and empatheticLicensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse to dispenseprescribed medications as part of a treatment team in partnershipwith Physicians and Nursing Supervisors. The dispensing nurse alsoshares the responsibility of maintaining dispensing equipmentmanaging medication inventory and reporting patient treatmentinformation.

An ideal dispensing nursecandidate works cooperatively with supervisory counseling staff anddemonstrates a nonjudgmental and accepting attitude towardSubstance Use Disorder.

Essential Duties &Responsibilities:

  • Administer daily medication to patients following programpolicy and medical protocols.
  • Use automateddispensing system(s) calibrate pump and maintain dispensingequipment
  • Produce and maintain appropriaterecords and reports as required by Company protocol Federal andState Regulations
  • Ensure compliance withsecurity standards for the distribution and storage of controlledsubstances as outlined in the Code of Federalregulations
  • Order receive and stock medicationfollowing DEA and State regulations. (If granted Power ofAttorney)
  • Provide daily assessment ofpatients
  • Assist Nursing Supervisor inorienting new nursing staff
  • Other relatedduties as determined by the supervisor
