Purpose of the Role

Operatives assist Team Leaders in the delivery of on-site project works to a safe, compliant and high standard. You will play a vital role in supporting the operational activities necessary for the delivery of utility services to our customers.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work safely at all times and ensure the safety of all those working around them.
  • To report all accidents, incidents and near misses.
  • To help to maintain a safe and tidy site.
  • To assist with accurately recording details of work undertaken.
  • Work closely with other team members, including engineers and supervisors, to coordinate workflow and achieve operational objectives.
  • Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Registered with Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS)
  • City and Guilds - Confined Spaces
  • EUSR SHEA (water - multi-utility as required).
  • SWQR Operative Certificate, SLG.
  • Emergency First Aid at Work Level 2.
  • Appropriate plant/equipment operators' certificate(s) (preferable)
  • The ability to help the team leader in solving problems and making decisions.
  • Driving Licence (valid for UK) (clean).
