We are recruiting for a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer to join our expanding Software Team working within the automated test team. This exciting role will give you the opportunity to provide automated software testing expertise to ensure delivery of robust, high quality, compliant software for the continued development of mobile medical device software applications in a mobile-centric world.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about writing software, has an excellent understanding of software engineering and design and has relevant proven commercial experience in the complete automated testing life cycle.  You will lead and be involved in ensuring requirements are clear, unambiguous, and testable; perform requirements analysis of user/software requirements and user stories; write, run, and debug automated tests using our framework; apply best-practice testing strategies and techniques; troubleshoot failing tests, identify the cause, and report or fix the issue and investigate/characterise App or system failures to support the Development team.

You will be required to efficiently track work packages and issues, use a project management tool, such as Jira, to accurately estimate the work involved in performing test activities and lead and participate in planning events and technical reviews of test coverage, test procedures, issues and executed tests.  We need someone who can coordinate the work of other members of the team as well as providing support, training and mentoring to the team.

We need someone who can take ownership and technical responsibility for and accountability for formal test activities, including producing the test trace matrix, identifying tests to be run, producing test plans, running and coordinating tests, coordinating the resolution of any issues found, correlating and checking test results, and producing and getting a test report through our approval process.

You should have extensive experience of coding in Ruby and experience of at least one programming/scripting language in addition to Ruby.  Experience and understanding of working within a regulated environment is desirable and the ability to work autonomously with minimal support from others is a must.  We are looking for someone with a degree in Software Development with at least three years commercial experience working within an automated test environment.  The ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level qualification is desirable.
