We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role, you will play a vital part in a number of technical projects aimed at improving the stability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Plan, implement, and manage upgrades to VMware environments to version 8.0 Upgrade and migrate existing servers running on Microsoft Server 2012 to a newer version Design and implement comprehensive logging and alerting policies to proactively identify and address potential issues Evaluate and implement security improvements to strengthen our IT infrastructure Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely and efficient manner Document infrastructure changes and procedures for future reference Work collaboratively with other IT professionals to ensure smooth project executionSkills and experience:
Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role Strong understanding of VMware technologies, including vSphere 8.0 and related products Experience with Dell VxRail hyper converged infrastructure solutions In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Server administration Proficiency in using PRTG or similar monitoring tools Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team A proactive and results-oriented approachBenefits:
