Location: Regent’s Park and Whipsnade
Hours: 40 hours per week
About the Role
Embark on a unique and exciting journey as a Facilities Manager Apprentice, where you’ll gain hands-on experience and professional development while working towards a recognised qualification in facilities management.
This is no ordinary role—you’ll be part of a seasoned and supportive team on a recently renewed contract, with the opportunity to work in the vibrant environment of a zoo. Imagine managing facilities while working alongside animals, all under the guidance of a forward-thinking and innovative Senior Account Manager who is committed to your growth and success.

In addition to working in this rewarding environment, you’ll contribute to exciting projects and play a key role in developing new practices and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
As an apprentice, you’ll have a variety of learning opportunities, including:
- Assisting the Facilities Team in daily operations.
- Conducting inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Coordinating and supervising maintenance and repair activities.
- Implementing and upholding health and safety protocols.
- Learning the principles of people and team management.
- Assisting in budget management for facilities operations.
- Managing service contracts and liaising with external providers.
- Monitoring contractor performance to ensure quality standards are met.
- Driving process improvements.
- Rotating through departments, including time with the Senior Account Manager, Helpdesk, Compliance, and Technical teams.
