Grounds Maintenance Operative

The Role
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative you will deliver facilities management and grounds maintenance services to a high standard and ensure the key first and last impressions of the site are positive for employees and visitors.
Day-to-day, you will be responsible for undertaking maintenance, such as tree work, strimming, mowing grass to a specific height around our explosives area and potential for pressure washing tasks in the future.
You will also:
Provide grounds maintenance and support services including specialist grounds services including attention to pest and tree hazards Maintain knowledge / awareness of grounds / land legislative, standards & technical requirements and developments Form part of the on call rota during periods on inclement weather, supporting site preparations & response to enable ongoing safe access / use of premises Ensure robust application of health, safety & environmental procedures and processes Oversee the conduct of contractors on site, monitoring the implementation & performance of tasks allocated Identify & ensure all key assets are available and appropriately maintained, making recommendations on improvements & additional requirements to FM / business leads as appropriateEssential Experience of the Grounds Maintenance Operative:
Proactive, drive and enthusiasm ' can do approach' Excellent inter-personal and communication skills Manual handling awareness / risk appreciation Previous experience in a similar roleQualifications for the Grounds Maintenance Operative:
