An exciting opportunity awaits you in a welcoming school based in Lymington, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join the team as an Autism Support Worker.
About the role:
As an Autism Support Worker, you will provide personalised care and support to students with autism. This role gives you the opportunity to make a positive impact on their well-being and overall development as they follow their educational health care plans.
Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:
- Follow personalised care plans and lesson plans from the teacher to meet each student's unique needs.
- Create a supportive and inclusive environment that helps students become more independent and grow personally.
- Use good communication strategies to build trust and connect with students with autism.
- Work with a team of teachers and staff to provide complete support for students.
- Keep accurate records of each student’s progress and activities.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Previous experience as an Autism Support Worker in a school or similar role is preferred.
- Understanding of autism spectrum conditions and effective support strategies.
- Great communication and people skills.
- Ability to adjust to the changing needs of students with autism.
- A caring and patient attitude when supporting students with different needs.

To work with GSL Education as Autism Support Worker, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
