Blue Arrow has an exciting Project Manager opportunity in the Stafford area working within the Staffordshire Police on a 2 year fixed term contract. We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced project manager who has a great success in embedding projects on time.

As a Project Manager you will be working within the Strategic Change Team/Change Management Office. You will be leading change throughout the project, so it is key that you have an understanding and experience of stakeholder management, planning, scoping, risk management and making sure the project is delivered with expected outcomes and benefits key to the role.

What are we looking for in a Project Manager?

- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- An individual who can embrace change and work within a challenging environment.
- Degree qualified or extensive PM experience.
- Project management qualification (PRINCE2 or APM).
- Experience of engaging with senior stakeholders on strategic projects.
- Demonstrable experience of project management on a range of projects.
- Experience in the definition, planning, scheduling, and running of large-scale projects within a complex environment.
- Experience in the use of common project management toolsets.
- Demonstrable experience of working with staff at all levels; comfortable with conducting presentations and running meetings/workshops.
- Good influencing and stakeholder management skills.

What is the Project Manager responsible for?

- Making sure project deliverables are gathered.
- Project delivery is planned.
- Learning from other projects so you have the best project approach.
- Completing and maintaining all project documentation including plans, schedules etc.
- Working closely with project lead/project board on reporting any project status or providing the PMO.
- Project objectives are delivered within agreed quality, forecast delivery times and budget targets.
- Monitoring and forecasting through the project.
Keeping an eye on any risks or issues so they are managed, mitigated and escalated throughout the project.
- Engaging with the Command lead or Business lead, to develop benefits realisation plans which will be used following the closure of the project.
- Completing appropriate closure documentation to evaluate the project
