Title: Project Manager/Leader

This is a hybrid working arrangement with a mixof onsite and remote work arrangement. The Senior PM will beexpected to be in the Guelph office at least 12 days/week. Moreonsite work may be requested based on project and operational needsand as requested by the Reporting Manager.

Description

The Senior PM will be working on multipleprojects and will be responsible to endtoend delivery of digitalproducts.

KeyResponsibilities include but are not limitedto:

Endtoend delivery ofdigital solutions using modern technologiesBackoffice Salesforce Public Sector Foundation Solutionsincluding improved approval workflows KPI & statistical reportsdata migration decommissioning of old systems and other plannedenhancements Delivery of AgriSuiteAgricultural Erosion Controls Structures (AgErosion) to existingAgriSuite ; Investigate options for integrating mappingfunctionality currently available in AgMaps into AgriSuite asrequired by the AgErosion decision support tool and other plannedenhancements Responsible for leading Agiledelivery using scrum framework Projectplanning budgeting Charter development execution team managementvendor management stakeholder communications including ProjectSteering Committee status updates project risks and issues withmitigations and fall back plans Financial updates with forecastsand plan and conduct Agile ceremonies.

  • Ability to monitor and forecast project costs and providereporting and input to ensure targets are met
  • Experience developing and managing project schedulesdeliverables and scope
  • Ability to promoteI&IT project management best practices and adherence tostandard methodologies
  • Demonstrated experiencedirecting project teams to ensure project deliverables aredelivered on time and adhere to government and ministrystandards
  • Extensive experience coordinatingand monitoring project processes and developing/communicatingguidelines and procedures
  • Ability to handleclient relationships to manage expectations provides updates asrequired identifies potential conflicts between project andfunctional areas

Must Have

  • PMP certified 10 years of project managementexperience with 3 years of experience in managing / implementingSaaS (Salesforce Cloud) solutions and 5 years of experience inmanaging / implementing in custom Java/Angular basedapplications
  • Demonstrated experience indelivering large scale projects with a budget above $2M
  • Experience providing senior technical expertise projectleadership and coordination of activities in the developmentimplementation and maintenance of technologies desired for largescale projects
  • Strong knowledge about OntarioI&IT Procurement directives and processes ability to draftprocurement approvals decision notes and awarddocumentation
  • Experience developing project /sprint plans and managing project schedules deliverables and scopeas per set expectations
  • Experience andknowledge of the Ontario Digital Service Standard Ontario ServiceDesign Playbook and the Digital First Assessment product deliveryapproach (PreDiscovery Discovery Alpha Beta Live) and/or similardigital standards and tools
  • Experience withDevOps Microsoft tools including Visio and Project and Miroboards
  • Knowledge and understanding of digitalproduct development implementation and management
  • Experience in Agile SCRUM. Lean and DevOpsmethodologies
  • Excellent communication clientrelation and presentation skills

PMP certified 10years of overall project management experience

3 years of experience in managing / implementing SaaS (SalesforcePublic Sector) and 5 years of experience in managing / implementingcustom Java/Angular based applications

Strongtechnical knowledge in both technology stack areas with ability toprovide strategic guidance to development teams in resolvingtechnical roadblocks options analysis and aligning design /architecture vision with Product roadmap

Ability to create and maintain a product road map and productbacklogs providing senior technical expertise project leadershipand coordination of activities in the development implementationand maintenance of large scale IT projects

Demonstrated experience with identification to risk events andissues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies canbe developed.

Ability to articulate andprioritize issues and risks at program management and seniorexecutive level and recommend mitigation strategies for decisionmakers

Demonstrated experience gathering anddeveloping requirements in order to create and maintain a detailedproduct schedule backlog and/or integrated plan

Demonstrated experience with product program and/or portfolioreporting to multistakeholders at senior executive levels
