The main responsibilities of this role include the delivery and assessment of high quality learning programmes in Digital (IT and Computing), across a range of levels of further education and / or apprenticeship provision, as well as undertaking a range of programme leadership, tutorial and programme administration duties.

Successful applicants would have technical skills in teaching Digital / IT skills covering web development, database development, spreadsheet development, multimedia, graphics and animation. They should also have some expertise in working with digital images using the Adobe Creative Suite. 

This post requires a strong background in the teaching of BTEC qualifications, pastoral care and a successful candidate will have a proven track record of effective professional/vocational experience in the Further Education sector

The candidate must be qualified to honours degree level (Level 6) or qualified to the industry-recognised standard in a relevant field, hold a post-16 teaching qualification and English and maths qualifications at level 2, or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe.  It is desirable that the candidate has experience of effective programme leadership in FE, HE and / or Apprenticeships and has a proven track record of successful teaching and assessment practice.

An ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines alongside strong oral and written communication skills and good IT skills are also essential. The hours of work will be flexible and may include evening and weekends according to demand. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a well-motivated, cohesive and successful team.
