The role

The Open University is recruiting an Immigration Manager to be based in People Services, who will take ownership of the OU’s immigration policies and procedures, ensuring the university complies with UKVI immigration rules to meet internal and external audit requirements.

As an Immigration Manager, you will lead a small, dedicated team of Immigration professionals, provide accurate advice across the University on the University's immigration policies and UKVI guidance, with extensive knowledge in the variety of visas available. This will entail training and updating staff across the university in any changes made to procedures and UKVI rules, and guarantying Right to Work checks are compliant with government legislation.

Skills and experience

This role will suit you if you:

Possess extensive technical immigration experience with a robust understanding and proven record of Right to Work and Visa application management. Are a confident, experienced manager, able to lead and inspire a team to excel on a daily basis. Possess strong communication skills, able to deliver training and workshops to a variety of audiences.
