An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Exercise Therapist to join the Physiotherapy Team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Eastern Services).
The post-holder is responsible for providing exercise intervention to patients attending the Living with and Beyond Cancer service (LWBC) across our Eastern and Northern hospital sites. Caseloads will consist of patients who are attending the Haematology and Oncology clinics and will require thorough assessment and delivery of exercise therapy in both 1:1 and group settings. The post-holder will be supporting patients on a cancer pathway with symptoms relating to breathlessness, fatigue, deconditioning, exercise and motivation.
The post-holder is responsible for their own workload and will involve delivering group exercise classes, providing rehabilitation and being flexible to follow up patients if required. The group exercise classes will run on the different hospital sites and the post-holder must be able to drive and have access to a road-worthy vehicle.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).

This is a fixed term contract for 22 months. For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.
