The Role:

As a History Graduate, you will play a pivotal role in sparking students' interest in history and helping them develop a deeper understanding of historical events, cultures, and figures. Your enthusiasm and knowledge will make history come alive in the classroom, encouraging students to think critically about the past and its impact on the present and future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging and informative history lessons.
  • Use creative teaching methods to make historical events and concepts accessible and exciting.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who need additional help.
  • Encourage critical thinking and discussions about historical events and their significance.
  • Help prepare and organize teaching materials and resources.
  • Support teachers in monitoring and assessing students' progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and motivated to learn.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development.

Requirements:

  • A degree in History or a related field.
  • A genuine passion for history and education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to understanding and addressing the diverse needs of learners.
  • Ability to make historical events and concepts interesting and relevant to students.
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive approach to professional development and continuous learning.
