We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to support the delivery of Speech and Language Therapy services across Conwy and Denbighshire to Pre School children. This is a part time ( hours) fixed term post.

We would like to hear from those who have an interest and background in working with pre-school aged children with speech, language and communication needs. The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, professionals and family members is essential for this role.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will work under the supervision of a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to deliver intervention packages for pre-school aged children with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties. These intervention packages are delivered across a range of settings community clinics, schools and playgroups, as well as via telehealth, and may be delivered on a : basis or in a small group.

There will also be a requirement to create and prepare therapy resources and to support with other administrative tasks photocopying, filing, completion of audits/checklists, ordering equipment.

The successful candidate will have:

Excellent communication skills. The ability to work as part of a team, to build a strong rapport and work effectively with colleagues. Experience of working with pre-school aged children and young people with speech, language and communication needs. Excellent time management and organisation skills The ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service Working for our organisation
