Job Description

We are looking for a Golf Operations Assistant to join our team at The Springs Resort & Golf Club in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. Fantastic hourly rate of pay

This is a permanent position to work full time hours. This will be 32-40 hours across 5 days which will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday which may change during busy periods to suit the needs of the business.

Shift patterns will be 8am - 5pm or 9am - 6pm, flexibility is essential to suit the needs of the business.

About The Role

Main responsibilities:

The successful Golf Operations Assistant will

·      Welcome and host members and guests.

·      Manage the driving range.

·      Be responsible for 1st tee starter duties.

·      On course marshalling.

·      Set up and deliver members' golf days and competitions.

·      Be an integral part of delivering competitions.

·      Be trained on our booking systems and golf genius software.

·      Supervise the daily operations of the Golf Shop under the direction of the Golf Manager.

·      Provide excellent customer service at all times.

·      Ensure that the golf shop is clean, orderly, well-stocked and professionally presented at all times.

Requirements:

Similar previous experience is an advantage. A knowledge of golf is essential for this position. A positive work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills is desirable. A driving licence and the ability to drive is an advantage to enable easy travel to and from the resort.
