We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a Secondary School in Havering. This full-time contract role is perfect for someone passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs to reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive school environment.

 

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide vital classroom support, working closely with teachers to adapt lessons and assist students with learning activities. You will play a key role in fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adapt learning materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and staff.
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement with learning activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant in a secondary school is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of classroom support strategies and how to assist students with different learning needs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students, staff, and parents.
  • A patient, supportive, and proactive approach to assisting students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
