Overview of the role:

JCB has ambitious plans as part of our 5-year growth plan. To achieve these ambitious plans, we are looking for a dynamic individual to join the team to work with the global dealer network and regional sales teams to deliver sales growth for our machines across Southern Europe. 

Your Responsibilities as a Heavy Excavator Sales Manager:

•Sales Management – Setting of regional and dealer budgets and targets, sales forecasting, reporting and measuring.

•Dealer Management – Support all aspects of the dealers account for wheeled loading shovels and excavator sales.

•Product – Support the associated engineering and product teams with sector dynamics and requirements that will influence sales growth within the Wheeled Loading Shovel and Excavator markets.

•Business Development – Identify market opportunities in key regions and implement sales initiatives to deliver growth.

•Relationship Management - Develop key relationships with dealer teams and with internal JCB personnel.

•Communication/PR – Communicate market information into the other business functions to ensure all areas of the operation are aligned to achieving the market opportunities.

•Problem Solving – Identify potential issues that may affect future sales and oversee the implementation of an effective solution.

About you:

•The successful applicant will have either a sales or account management background, preferably in the heavy machinery industry.

•Market and industry knowledge with an understanding of typical construction applications is essential. 

•Experience of selling to end users directly and indirectly via a dedicated dealer network is required.

•You will demonstrate the ability to handle commercial negotiations and have experience in setting budgets and delivering monthly sales forecasts.

•You should have a confident manner, adaptability to change approach for different markets and with the ability to communicate at all levels throughout the business.

•You will need commitment and determination to realise the opportunity, deliver targeted results, and a resilience to overcome all challenges internally and externally.

•Extensive travel essential.
