Job Purpose:

Aston Martin will develop and deploy new ADAS and AD driving features into future vehicle programmes to meet both legislative requirements and to ensure our vehicles deliver the best customer experience in line with brand expectations. This will require the technical leadership of feature delivery into future vehicle programmes. The role will own the feature and ensure its delivery to achieve technical targets, deliver on time and to budget. While the implementation and testing will be undertaken by parallel teams, the role will be expected to work closely with those teams to feed requirements into the software implementation, ensure those requirements are understood and implemented, to ensure that vehicle test and development requirements are understood and that the necessary level of test, calibration and validation is delivered to support overall feature delivery.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the delivery strategy of specific ADAS & AD features, including development plan, timing of key deliverables into the vehicle programme and the achievement of target attributesResponsible for the design and delivery of ADAS & Autonomous Driving (AD) features: Defining the customer experience, relevant feature KPIs and feature use casesDeveloping and cascading feature requirements throughout the business and aligning with cross-functional teamsGuiding suppliers and implementation teams to ensure delivery of feature content in line with the delivery strategy Leading the successful delivery of feature content to the appropriate vehicle gateways through to production vehicles Ensuring the delivery plan aligns to programme gatewaysOwning and resolving conflicts in terms of technical delivery and timingSupporting roll-out of content into production buildEnsure that all legislative requirements are achieved Guiding other team members to support the achievement of feature delivery

Working with parallel teams responsible for sensor packaging and installation, for simulation and rig set up and operation, for software implementation and for development and test vehicle planning, management and operation.

Qualification & Experience:

Experience in Product Delivery and technical problem solvingExcellent knowledge of ADAS technical development (including regulatory and industry standards)Working knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. Polarion or Doors)Working knowledge of FuSa/DFMEAWorking knowledge of Vector toolsDelivery planningSupplier engagement and managementExperience of L3 Autonomous Driving systemsExperience of ADAS systems calibration and validationWorking with ADAS simulation tools (e.g. CarMaker, SCaNeR, Matlab)Degree educated in relevant Engineering discipline
