Lincoln, United Kingdom Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Job summary

For over 30 years my Eating Disorder has dictated & controlled me with its poisonous thoughts, urges, actions & reactions I no longer know what it is to live without it.

I constantly crave to be released from its shackles; yet the fear of letting go, the anxiety of how to function, engage & survive in everyday life is too overwhelming. I am under its strict control & complex 'rules'. How to function & not feel I must do a certain amount of exercise to justify eating? How not to fear social events that may involve food (what excuses can I use not to consume anything)? How to not live by the strict rules that constantly limit the types of foods I allow myself, the amount of food, & even the plate that I use? How not to have food in my thoughts constantly (wishing the time away until it's that glorious time that I am allowed to eat; yet when it arrives it manipulates & shouts NOT to eat). What will I be allowed (my safe food list is very limited) & how much (I have lost all sense of portions & sizes)?

I crave food constantly, yet cannot justify, allow or give myself the validation & permission to eat Why?

I am mentally & physically exhausted . It is too fearful, draining & tiring to challenge the ED alone

Can you help me please? Are you able to guide, support & encourage me towards recovery? To a life where I can know how to live free from complex rules & control, & enjoy the freedom to live my life with self-compassion, with an intuitive & liberated mindset?

I hope so
