Job Description

We are looking for an NVQ Level 3 qualified carer with a minimum of 2 years care experience to join our team as a Care Supervisor. Previous experience in a care supervisory role is preffered, but full training is given. You will be involved with such things as completing client assessments and reviews, liaising with relatives & health professionals, spot-checks, writing care plans and generally making sure that we are providing the best quality care and service possible.

We are a Preferred Provider for Blackburn with Darwen Council, Lancashire County Council, the NHS and Clinical Commissioning Group as well as private clients. We are a family business and have been providing care in the area for 25 years.

About The Role

This is a full time position of 40 hours a week plus rotating on call.

The supervisors must be available from 9am and until 6pm on their days of work of Mon-Fri.

This is a community based role.

Essential requirements

NVQ 3 with a minimum of 2 years care experience

Full driving license & use of a car

Understanding of legislation concerned with care provision

Experience of working as a supervisor within the health and social care sector.

With more than 25 years’ experience in the health and social care sector, Andrew and Fiona combined their background in nursing with a passion for delivering high-quality home care services in Blackburn that bridge the gap between traditional home care and nursing.

We work closely with organisations such as East Lancashire Hospice, the Stroke Association, Dementia UK, Parkinson’s UK and the MS Society to share resources and make sure our staff are up to date on the latest skills and training. Our team of dedicated carers are all vetted and trained to gain the qualifications they need to help them carve out a long-term career in care.

Company Culture

We recruit from Blackburn and the local areas and pride ourselves on being an equal opportunities employer. We provide induction training to our staff and carers must reach the required level of knowledge in each subject area.

They must also complete a number of shifts with a supervisor to make sure they’re competent at following care plans and delivering the required level of care.

New recruits will also be working on achieving their diploma/NVQ qualification in care, which takes between 6 and 9 months to complete.
