Quality Manager - Global Energy (Group) Ltd – North Fabrication

Global Energy (Group) Ltd are a service focused, performance driven business, offering construction, maintenance and enhancement solutions to a diverse range of energy industry customers. They are currently recruiting for a Quality Manager for their North Fabrication Division to lead the business into future works and technologies.

Job Purpose & Objective

The Quality Manager’s role will be to lead and manage strategic and operational performance to ensure successful delivery of business strategy and objectives, whilst adhering to regulatory compliance and internal/external customer specified requirements.

The position must support in the overall delivery of Global Energy (Group) Ltd business objectives through the aligning of deliverables to that of the individual North Fabrication Business Unit strategy.

The Quality Manager must be a leader with a fair and approachable management style, to ensure the teams have clear goals to deliver our Global Energy Groups business objectives through the aligning of deliverables to that of the individual Business Unit strategy.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

Quality Management.

In conjunction with all Global Energy (Group) Ltd Senior Management, the Quality Manager shall be responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Global Energy (Group) Ltd Business Management System.

They shall ensure systems and processes are defined and effectively implemented to warrant that quality of product and/or service provision is being consistently delivered to meet both internal and external stakeholder expectations.

Certification/Accreditation Management

Act as Global Energy (Group) Ltd focal point for certification providers to co-ordinate and facilitate annual certification surveillance and when required re-certification of the following accreditations.

o ISO 9001 - Quality Management Systemo ISO 3834 – Control of Welding & Welding Related Activities.o BS EN 1090 Factory Production Control Management Systemo Maintain Achilles UVDB, BSI & BSOL annual subscriptions.

the Quality Manager shall fulfil the role of Quality and Weld/Material Engineering Manager for Global Energy (Group) Ltd North Fabrication Division, as such will provide Quality Assurance and Welding Materials Management support to the North based business operations and projects.

In fulfilling the role, the Quality Assurance/Materials Weld Engineering Manager shall be responsible for the day to day management, running and continuous development of the Quality Assurance Dept and those who work within it whilst providing guidance and support to all other areas of the business.

Welding Materials Engineering Management

As Welding Materials Engineering Manager, they shall:

o Be responsible for maintenance of the ISO 3834 – Control of Welding & Welding Related Activitieso Be responsible for maintenance of the BS EN 1090 Factory Production Control Management System.o Provide Welding/Materials Engineering guidance and support to all areas of the business from initial tender through to product/service delivery.

Experience, Qualification and Attributes:

Mandatory

Minimum 5 Years’ experience of similar role in the Oil & Gas/Heavy Engineering/Fabrication industry with good working knowledge of materials, welding, welding related processes industry codes, application, and material standards.

Preferred

Relevant Quality Assurance Management qualification QC Inspection experience along with any relevant associated qualification.

Personal Responsibilities

AUTHORITY

To stop work if not in compliance with HSE standards.To Challenge the norm and intervene proactively with line management on any breach of QHSE procedures or practices.To Request information necessary to perform the task.

HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT

Comply with HSE Regulatory requirements at all times. Report accidents and near misses using the correct methods. Ensuring that the team are also aware of their responsibilities. Comply with site rules at all times.Demonstrate through action a proactive attitude towards HSE.Support through compliance our 10 Global Rules and HSE Policies.Responsible for your own Health and Safety and that of others who may be affected by your work.Use of Personal Protective Equipment as provided when necessary.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Undertake any agreed training in order to provide a framework of knowledge and skills required to perform effectively in the team/department/business unit in order to demonstrate and maintain required competency in role.Participate in annual and regular performance appraisal with relevant supervisor and/or manager, identifying and agreeing objectives and targets in relation to personal development.
