AboutYou:

To excel in this role youshouldenjoy fastpaced environments problemsolving and have aninterestin leveraging technology to make good decisions. You willget excitedat the prospect of actively and profitably tradingelectricity andpower derivatives across various markets. Youll alsobecomfortable with trading on extended day and/or nightshifts.

How will I spend mydayatNoriker

• Contribute tothe execution strategyof a 24/7 shift tradingteam

• Actively trade on theUK powermarket making buy and sell decisions to generateP&L

• Real time analysisof the UK powermarket and operation of National Grid balancingactions

• Identification ofvalue creationopportunities developing trading strategies and assetoptimisationmodels within UK Balancing Services the BM and powermarkets

• Collaborate withsoftware developersto implement expert advisory and automatictrading systems

• Report ontrading performance P&Land risk metrics to seniormanagement

• Stay updated onindustrydevelopments regulations and emerging trends affectingpowermarkets

• Support thebusiness development teamaround flexible assets and demand toidentify andoptimiseopportunities

Whatskills will I need to succeed

• Degreequalified in FinanceEconomics Engineering or a related field (orequivalentexperience)

• Minimumone years commercialexperience in the UK energy markets ideally asa trader oranalyst

• Comfortable withExcel or usingprogramming languages (e.g. Python) to interpretlarge data sets

• Excellentanalytical and quantitativeskills with keen attention todetail

• Commercially focusedwith accountableproblemsolving abilities and committed toexcellence

• Superborganisation time managementand communicationskills

• Ability to work underpressure and totight deadlines in a fastpacedenvironment

• Selfmotivatedand results orientated

• Fromthe early stages of developingtrading systems and analysing theelectricity market to improvingforecasting and tradingmodels

• Mature outlook withcommitment toperpetual learning and continualimprovement

• Strong workethic with a belief thattrue collective achievement is a product ofgraft andapplication

• Willingness towork in 24/7shiftrotation
